Bahrain and Oman have signed the executive program of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) in electricity and renewable energy (2025-2030).

The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on behalf of Bahrain and Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, on behalf of Oman, as part of the state visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Sultanate of Oman, at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and integration with Oman in various sectors, particularly in renewable energy, to meet shared aspirations and further develop the sustainable partnership between the two countries.

This follows the MoU signed in August 2021 during the seventh session of the Bahraini-Omani Joint Committee in Bahrain, chaired by the foreign ministers of both countries.

The MoU focuses on exchanging expertise, conducting joint research, supporting private sector participation in the development of electricity and renewable energy sectors, and enhancing partnerships in renewable energy projects and energy efficiency to achieve the mutual interests of both nations.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between the Ministries of Health of Bahrain and Oman. The MoU reflects the importance of enhancing cooperation in healthcare systems, exchanging expertise, and improving primary and secondary healthcare services. It also aims to foster collaboration in public health, joint research, continuous medical education, and organizing visits for experts and specialists in various domains.
