UAE based international express, mail delivery and logistics services company Aramex has chosen Othman Aljeda as the company’s acting chief operating officer. Mr. Aljeda will be replacing Iyad Kamal, who will be moving on from Aramex on May 31 after 29 years of exceptional service.
Othman Aljeda is presently engaged with the firm as the regional CEO for Aramex in Europe, North America and Asia. He entered the organization in 1994 and developed within the global firm having started in the GCC and consequently moving to aid in building operations in the Far East region.
In the last decade, Alejda performed a significant function in building Aramex’s Asia regional market, and ultimately managed the Asia market as CEO. Under his guidance, the firm’s customer base and orders grew in line with the long-term vision of the business.
He will be the Acting COO as of May 31 until a perpetual successor is identified.
