The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) will participate in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2021, the leading global event for the travel and tourism industry, which will take place from the 16th to the 19th of May.
The department will highlight Ajman’s numerous benefits and promote the Emirate as a top travel destination on both the local and international tourism map.
According to Mr. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director-General of ATDD, the ATM exhibition is an ideal opportunity to hold meetings, extend the network of foreign country relations, assess the opportunities to open representative offices for Ajman Tourism around the world and discuss approaches to strengthen various aspects of cooperation between country leaders, government agencies, and tourism companies participating in this event.
The ATDD Director-General stated that the event is vital towards the support of the tourism industry, as it defines its goals, shares innovations in the sector, boosts trust in travel and business growth, and provides unique insights into the latest technologies and trends that will inevitably shape the future of travel and tourism.
Through this involvement, the ATDD hopes to strengthen its relations with major tourism agencies and companies, explore new opportunities for collaboration to boost the tourism sector, and draw more visitors to Ajman, as well as shed light on the Emirate’s most prominent locations.
Mr. Al Geziry pointed out that the participation is in line with the department’s marketing plan for this year, which aims to boost the Emirate’s role in major global markets that export visitors, as the ATM is the first truly global event since the outbreak of COVID-19, making it crucial to the world and the tourism industry.
Mr. Al Geziry added that the Emirate provides unique amenities to its visitors, including museums, cultural and art centers, and luxurious shopping markets, highlighting ATDD’s mission to improve the Emirate’s tourism sector’s competence by organizing a variety of sporting, entertainment, and cultural events and activities aimed at raising awareness of the attractions available in touristic areas such as Ajman, Masfout, and Al Manama.
In addition, new touristic initiatives will be launched during the event in partnership with partners to empower the private sector and promote its role by streamlining the process of granting tourism licenses and expanding into niche segments to broaden the offerings of touristic destinations.
Representatives from ATDD partners, such as Ajman Municipality, Ajman Transport Authority, Ajman Free Zone, Marsa Ajman Properties, and others, will also be participating at ATM 2021.
