The Ajman Tourism Development Department has initiated a promotional tour to the CIS countries, taking place from 14th September to 21st September.
The tour, launched under the leadership of Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, aims to strengthen collaborations with representatives from the tourism sector of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, with a focus on attracting more tourists to the emirate of Ajman.
The promotional tour will cover Almaty, Tashkent and Baku. The Department seeks to showcase Ajman’s latest tourist destinations as well as new projects, elevating the Emirate’s position as a global tourist destination.
Ajman is currently witnessing a significant surge in tourists from the CIS countries, with 12 percent increase in visitors and 12 percent growth in nightly accommodations. Hotel occupancy has increased by 3 percent, along with a 5 percent increase in room revenues compared to the last year. This highlights the emirate’s emerging status as a tourist destination.

Our visit to the CIS is aimed at deepening strategic relations with our key partners and further exploring newer avenues for cooperation and exchange of expertise. During the promotional tour, we are showcasing Ajman’s rich heritage and ongoing transformation as a unique cultural and tourist destination within the UAE, enabling us to draw more visitors. We are confident that all these efforts will create new opportunities for sustainable economic growth and reinforce Ajman’s position as a global tourist attraction.”
Through this strategic move, Ajman Tourism Development Department aims to achieve a diverse array of goals. This includes raising international awareness of the emirate’s unique tourist destinations while showcasing its unique experiences and offerings.
It also seeks to bolster collaborations with global partners, fostering cooperation opportunities and knowledge sharing. Furthermore, the Department aims to boost tourism opportunities from CIS countries. This will enhance the local economy by increasing hotel income and creating new employment opportunities.
