Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone (ADAFZ) has broken ground for the new warehousing facility, in partnership with MSM Logistic in Al Falah District, enhancing the emirate’s trade and economic development.
Located to the east of Zayed International Airport, the 8.3 square kilometers, Al Falah District is one of the free zone districts under ADAFZ, and the largest in its portfolio.
Al Falah District offers modern infrastructure and a functionally planned urban landscape, making it an ideal location for investors in Abu Dhabi for cargo, logistics services, light manufacturing as well as the AgriFood Growth and Water Abundance (AGWA) cluster. The partnership marked the development of a 28,623 square meters plot to offer flexible storage solutions, providing facilities for local and international businesses in the logistics sector.
MSM Logistic, known for its expertise in designing and constructing industrial complexes, is collaborating with ADAFZ to create innovative solutions aligned with the project’s objectives, emphasizing operational excellence and a successful track record.
Officially announced at ADIPEC 2023 following the signing of a Musataha agreement, the project represents a total investment value of AED85 million ($23 million).
ADAFZ plays a key role in attracting foreign director investment (FDI), in support of the UAE’s economic diversification efforts by providing a conducive environment for business growth. Scheduled developments include the construction of the East Midfield Cargo Terminal (EMCT), and the expansion of Business Park and Logistics Park.
With a growing portfolio of active investors, ADAFZ is facilitating seamless operations and comprehensive services to streamline procedures for both local and international businesses
“It gives me great pleasure to see this project come to fruition. This collaboration with MSM Logistics marks a significant milestone for ADAFZ, highlighting our commitment to progress and innovation in the Al Falah District. Together with our partners, we are laying the foundation for an exciting future that will invigorate trade and economic development in Abu Dhabi and support the overarching economic diversification efforts in the UAE.”
As the first tenant in Al Falah District, MSM Logistic aims to pave the way for future leasable light industrial unit warehousing projects. The investment aims to reflect MSM’s commitment to the region and its utilization of established infrastructure to bolster the logistics sector.
Evgeniy Gurkin, General Manager of MSM Logistic, said that, ”It is a great pleasure for us to work with such a professional team as ADAFZ, with the invaluable support of Knight Frank MENA. Knight Frank’s strategic advice and market investigation were crucial in selecting ADAFZ as the ideal partner for our entry into the market. The location is very promising, and we look forward to implementing more projects here. The warehouse we are working on now will be ready to welcome our partners in Q1 2025 and will be the first to tie in when the large-scale infrastructure project in Al Falah is in full swing. I’m sure that through our cooperative efforts, we will achieve great results and further strengthen our partnership opportunities.”
ADAFZ aims to ensure optimal operational standards and facilitate a conducive environment for business growth. With a focus on fostering economic diversification and global trade, ADAFZ offers comprehensive infrastructure and support services tailored to meet the needs of international investors, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for global trade and innovation.
