Abu Dhabi Ports (AD Ports) Group, the region’s leading logistics, industry, and trade facilitator, has signed a new agreement with Eni Abu Dhabi in order to establish a marine logistics base at Mugharraq Port supporting offshore drilling operations in the heart of Al Dhafra region.
Eni Abu Dhabi is the Abu Dhabi-based branch of the world-renowned Italian integrated energy company, Eni.
According to the statement, Mugharraq Port’s ultra-modern infrastructure and its strategic location close to the region’s offshore oil and gas facilities will be made available to Eni Abu Dhabi operations.
The company will also have access to onsite liquid mud and bulk plant capabilities, as well as a dedicated quay wall, marshaling yard, workforce, and logistical equipment.

Utilizing the industry-leading infrastructure and service capability that we have on offer at Mugharraq Port, Eni will be able to operate in proximity to its offshore drilling facilities benefiting operational efficiency.”

Mugharraq Port, a high-performing commercial maritime facility, has undergone significant modernization in recent years, with AD Ports Group investing heavily in the port’s logistical infrastructure and capabilities, as well as enhancing its capacity to meet the evolving needs of the region’s fast-growing offshore oil and gas segment.
Recently, the port was recognized as an international port facility and received its official certification from the UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure as per the guidelines of the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS Code). As part of its new status, Mugharraq Port is now able to receive and service a host of international and local vessels.
