The government of Abu Dhabi has updated rules for visitors and residents entering into the emirate from September 5.
Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee along with the Department of Health and Abu Dhabi Police revealed that from September 5, residents and visitors can enter the emirate of Abu Dhabi within 48 hours of receiving a negative PCR or DPI test result.

Authorities have removed the earlier requirement to having a negative PCR test conducted within 6 days prior to the entry.
Mandated PCR test on the sixth day
Abu Dhabi authorities have also mandated that residents and visitors who enter and stay for over six consecutive days within the emirate must now take a PCR test on the sixth day of each visit.
Exemption for Vaccine Trial Volunteers
Authiories have maintained that volunteers who took part in the COVID-19 vaccine trials are exempted from these measures and are authorized to use emergency vehicle lanes for a smooth journey.
