As part of the emirate’s efforts to develop and regulate public transport, relying on the latest technologies to enhance service efficiency and quality is in accordance with the highest local and international standards, under the supervision of relevant authorities, with the goal of improving the quality of transport services.

The agreement, which Abu Dhabi Mobility is responsible for overseeing its implementation, was signed with both the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), which supervises the monitoring of quality and conformity standards for verification processes, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC), which will carry out the verification processes and provide the necessary infrastructure.

It also facilitates the verification procedures in a comprehensive manner that aligns with the meteorological regulations in effect in the United Arab Emirates.

An agreement that enhances the experience of taxi users

The verification of all licensed taxi meters in Abu Dhabi will begin on the official launch of the project and is expected to be completed before the end of 2024. The service also includes random checks of 5% to 10% annually to ensure ongoing quality and efficiency.

This agreement is expected to enhance the experience of taxi users and ensure accurate fare pricing for trips, in addition to improving transparency and efficiency in service delivery.

Committed to ensuring user comfort

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) plays a key role in ensuring that taxi meters meet the required technical standards. They provide certification labels for meters and handle customer complaints about meter readings, taking necessary steps to resolve any issues. This partnership is part of Abu Dhabi Mobility’s ongoing efforts to quickly and effectively address concerns about meter accuracy or complaints, strengthening public confidence in the services provided.
