The UAE capital is all set to welcome international tourists once again and the visitors can now explore Abu Dhabi by following the updated COVID-19 safety measures.

One of the safest cities in the world, Abu Dhabi’s local authorities have now mapped out new safety measures to be implemented in the emirate for the entry of visitors from abroad.

When the pandemic outbreak happened, the emirate had deployed strict measures, including massive COVID-19 testing, disinfection drives, clinical trials and roll-out of the vaccination program to curb the spread of virus and to revive the economic activity and this has also helped the emirate to lower the rate of confirmed cases to 0.39 percent per total tests conducted in the emirate.

Travelers from across the world will be able to enter into the emirate only after presenting a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test result received within 96 hours before their departure and on the arrival also all passengers will have to undergo a thermal screening and PCR testing.

The local authority has provided some relaxation in measures for travelers from ‘green’ countries like no need for a self-isolation and wearing a medical wristband upon receiving a negative test result. But those from other countries will be required to self-isolate for 10 days. For those staying for six days or more, a PCR test is required on the sixth day and on the 12th day for those staying for 12 days or more.
