The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (ADCCI) Chairman Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei has discussed the possibilities of expanding economic and trade relations with the First Ambassador of Barbados to the UAE, Mr. Gabriel Abed.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to hold business meetings between the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the Barbados Chamber in order to advance trade cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Al Mazrouei commended the visit of Mr. Abed to the Abu Dhabi Chamber, which is a testimony to Barbados’ true desire to boost its investment and trade cooperation with Abu Dhabi.
The Chairman pointed out that Abu Dhabi enjoys competitive features making it a preferred destination for startups, noting that the Emirate has a flexible and encouraging legislative system backed by advanced infrastructure and strategic geographical location.
Further, Mr. Al Mazrouei emphasized the importance of the Abu Dhabi Chamber in assisting foreign businesses interested in investing in the Emirate by providing them with the necessary facilities and services.
For his part, Mr. Abed called on businesses in Abu Dhabi to visit Barbados considering it a preferred touristic destination in the Caribbean and the most developed island in the region.
The Ambassador added that “Barbados possesses huge capabilities in several key sectors including advanced technology, expressing his government’s desire to establish long-term strategic relations with Abu Dhabi through the Abu Dhabi Chamber.”
Mr. Abed highlighted that his government is ready to provide Emirati enterprises with all of the required support and facilities to help them expand their operations to Barbados.
