The eighth edition of the Women’s Economic Forum, organized by the Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI), is scheduled to be held in Dammam on November 19-20 under the patronage of Governor of the Eastern Region Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.
This year’s forum will be held under the theme “Empowering Effective Leadership,” reflecting the growing momentum of women’s contributions to Saudi Arabia’s economic and social development.
The forum aims to drive discussions and initiatives that promote women’s leadership in business and entrepreneurship. Specifically, it seeks to encourage investment in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), support Saudi women’s entrepreneurial spirit, and explore funding opportunities for successful ventures within the small enterprise sector.
According to the reports, the forum will feature a series of discussions, workshops, and panel sessions designed to inspire Saudi women to take on leadership roles in various industries. Notably, one of the key objectives is to create pathways for financing small businesses and innovative ideas, offering guidance on how women can access funding and resources to scale their ventures.
ECCI Board of Directors Chairman Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza said that the forum will focus on Saudi women’s effective leadership, consistent with Vision 2030, among whose objectives is increasing women’s participation in the labor market, which has accelerated the empowerment of Saudi women.
Al-Rizaiza further added that “Saudi women have become an integral part of the efforts to drive the country’s scientific, cultural, and economic development.”
